The ToolBed-Designer is a free software tool for creating custom hard foam inserts for tool distributors and consumers around the world.

You can test the demo version of ToolBed-Designer without logging in. If you would like to use our extensive contour database, you have to log in.

New accounts are not automatically activated. Accounts are normally activated on the next business day.

No, there is no minimum order quantity in ToolBed-Designer. We already fabricate and supply from one custom designed hard foam insert.

Our contour database includes thousands of tool contours from various manufacturers. Contours are added daily. Please contact us if there are no contours for your project.

It is not necessary to install ToolBed-Designer, and it can be used with all commonly used browsers. We recommend using Google Chrome. JavaScript must be activated.

Please register, and log in after your account is activated under [My ToolBed]. Click on [New Project], and then click on [New Layout]. Enter the required product data, and click on [Edit Layout]. Click on [Add Tool] in ToolBed-Designer, and select a manufacturer and part number. If you click on the [+] symbol next to the part number, the respective tool silhouette is inserted. You can position the silhouettes as required and align, distribute, etc. them on additional features in the menu ribbon. Have fun with your layouts!

• Keep a minimum distance of 6 mm between the tools and the edge.
• Finger holes may overlap.
• Combine appropriate tool groups.
• Position frequently used tools at the front.
• Pay attention to the right and left-handed operation.
• Pay attention to the obstacles related to design; e.g., partial extension of drawers, etc.

ToolBed-Scanner is a piece of equipment on loan. It is free of charge for creating individual hard foam inserts and shadowboard foils for tool distributors and corporate customers.

ToolBed-Scanners are currently available to commercial customers in Europe only.

The minimum quantity is 10 scans/usage day for the ToolBed-Scanners (terminals) and 5 scans/usage day for the ToolBed-Scanner light (suitcase solution).

The use of a ToolBed-Scanner is free of charge. Only a one-time freight and maintenance charge will be invoiced. Please pay attention to the minimum quantities when using a ToolBed-Scanner!

All ToolBed products can be cleaned using glass cleaner or cleaning solvent. Use a soft moistened cloth, and carefully wipe the product surface.

It is free of charge to digitize new brand-name tools by major manufacturers that are provided. We charge a small service fee for the form capture of small quantities of old, no-name, special tools provided. We recommend the use of a ToolBed-Scanner for the form capture of larger quantities of old, no-name, and special tools provided.
